Dr. Stephen Cook

Pianist and Arizona native Dr. Stephen Cook, has performed to popular and critical acclaim both nationwide and abroad. He has concertized in major American cities including New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles as well as overseas in Italy and Japan. Television appearances include WTTW’s Chicago Tonight, and a South Bend Indiana PBS documentary. Radio spots include KBAQ Phoenix, and a live performance on WFMT Chicago. Cook studied with luminary pianists Eteri Andjaparidze at DePaul University, Ursula Oppens at Northwestern University, and Robert Hamilton at Arizona State University, where he completed his Doctoral studies.

In addition to his work as faculty member at Rosie’s House, Dr. Cook teaches piano at Arizona School for the Arts and Paradise Valley Community College. Passionate about cultural development, Dr. Cook is Founder and Artistic Director of Oracle Piano Society, a Southern Arizona arts organization emphasizing artistic fusion.
