Enrollment

Rosie’s House provides tuition-free music education to students in the greater Phoenix area. Classes run for 32-weeks, split into fall and spring semesters, aligning with the regular school year. We ask our families to commit to the program from August to May, following the academic year.

Enrollment applications are reviewed each year in the spring. Because we receive more applications than spots available, new students are admitted through a lottery system to ensure a fair and equitable process. To qualify for admissions, families are required to attend a Family Interview; scroll down for more details.

Classes are held Monday-Thursday from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Student schedules vary depending on class availability. Most classes meet once a week for an hour, while some meet twice a week.

How Enrollment Works

Enrollment for new families begins in the spring. Follow the steps below to apply!

New Family Enrollment Process

  • Review Our Financial Requirements

Rosie’s House serves families who meet income eligibility guidelines below.

  • Fill Out the Interested Family Application

This ensures you receive important updates and invitations to a 30-minute tour of our building.

    Dates for Spring 2025:

    • April 10 – TOUR 1 & 2 (5:30 & 6:30 PM)
    • April 17 – TOUR 3 & 4 (5:30 & 6:30 PM)
    • April 19 – TOUR 5 & 6 (10:30 & 11:30 AM)
  • Attend a Mandatory Family Interview

You’ll receive an email to schedule an interview with our staff for May 17 or 24.

  • Lottery Results Shared

Families will be notified of their student(s) admission status in July. At Rosie’s House, we use a randomized lottery to fairly select students for our limited spots. Every applicant has an equal chance, and if not selected, students can reapply for the next academic year.

  • Get Ready for Classes!

Accepted students will receive details on mandatory orientation, instrument pickup, and class schedules before the first day on August 18.
