Nancy & Dr. Robert Spetzler and Christina Spetzler
Rosie’s House is proud to honor the Spetzler family, whose legacy of leadership and love for music has left an indelible mark on our community. For decades, Dr. Robert Spetzler, a world-renowned neurosurgeon and Director Emeritus of the Barrow Neurological Institute, and his wife Nancy, a talented flutist and dedicated patron of the arts, have been pillars of the Phoenix community.
They passed that spirit of philanthropy and service to their daughter, Christina, who brought her leadership directly to Rosie’s House. In her five years on the Board of Directors and Gala Committee, including three as Chair, Christina’s vision and tireless energy dramatically elevated the Ovation Gala, overseeing a 150% increase in revenue. As a family, the Spetzlers’ vital support of the More Than Music Campaign was instrumental in securing our permanent home, ensuring that the music never stops for future generations.
Stephen Chilton
A vital force in Arizona’s music scene for over two decades, Stephen Chilton is the founder of Psyko Steve Presents and owner of the acclaimed Phoenix venue, The Rebel Lounge. For 25 years, he has been instrumental in developing the careers of local and national artists, from rising stars playing their first tours to globally celebrated acts. In 2024, Billboard Magazine recognized The Rebel Lounge as one of the world’s top music venues.
A tireless advocate for live music, Stephen co-founded the National Independent Venue Association (NIVA) in 2020. As its first Vice President, he helped lead the nationwide #SaveOurStages campaign, which secured $16.25 billion in federal relief to rescue thousands of independent venues during the pandemic. Closer to home, Stephen has been a dedicated partner to Rosie’s House. For the last 12 years, he has organized the annual Phoenix Rock Lottery, a beloved community event that generates critical awareness and support for Rosie’s House students.
