The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Foundation for Community & Health Advancement has awarded over $1.2 million in its latest Mental Health Matters grant cycle to enhance access to mental health services and combat stigma throughout Arizona. Eleven organizations, including Rosie’s House, will use this funding to address issues such as mental health crises, suicide prevention, and substance use disorders. Notably, Project Willow Rebloom is set to open the nation’s first inpatient psychiatric unit for mothers and babies experiencing severe perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, highlighting the urgent need for comprehensive maternal mental health care in the state.
