Rosie’s House provides free, high-quality music education for youth from infancy through 12th grade in Phoenix. Our programs are grounded in the frameworks of Positive Youth Development and Creative Youth Development, helping students grow musically and personally by building skills like discipline, focus, teamwork and self-expression.

Financial Requirements
Students qualify for Rosie’s House programs based on the *number of people in their household and income range. Please read carefully and make sure you qualify for our program based on our annual income policy.
How to read chart: to qualify for our program, if there are 6 people in your household, your annual household income must be less than $104,150.
- 2 People in Household: Less than $71,800
- 3 People in Household: Less than $780,800
- 4 People in Household: Less than $89,750

Parent/Guardian Requirements: Afterschool Music Program
Parents/Guardians are required to provide two service hours per child per semester. Service opportunities include monitoring campus during classes, events, special projects, recital duty, and administrative projects.
Student Requirements: Afterschool Music Program
- Practice twenty-five minutes five days a week (or as specified by the teacher).
- Be absent no more than three times per semester.
- Attend class with a desire to learn.
- Make musical progress and complete assignments.
- Attend their academic school and be a student in good standing.
- Perform at recitals and other program events as part of their growth and participation.

How Much Do Classes Cost?
All classes and programs at Rosie’s House are 100% free of cost.
How Do I Qualify?
Eligibility for enrollment is based on your annual household income. Your annual household income must not exceed the amount set for the number of people living in your household. Click here to view the financial requirements and to determine your household’s eligibility.
How Do I Enroll My Student(s)?
The first step in enrollment is to fill out an Interested Family Application to be invited to schedule a mandatory Family Interview via email. At the Family Interview, we review your student’s eligibility for their desired class and review the potential class schedule to confirm you can commit to it. After that, your student’s name is put into the Enrollment Lottery along with other students that interviewed.
What Is the Enrollment Lottery?
At Rosie’s House, we use a randomized lottery to fairly select students for our limited spots. Every applicant has an equal chance, and if not selected, students can reapply for the next academic year.
When Are Classes Held?
Classes are held Monday-Thursday from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Student schedules vary depending on class availability, instrument type, and performance level. Most classes meet once a week for an hour, while some meet twice a week.

What Ages Do You Accept?
Rosie’s House Afterschool Music Program is for Grades 1-12. We offer classes for youth from infancy to Grade 12. Click here to learn more about all three of our music programs.
