Melissa Sainz

A native Phoenician, Melissa grew up appreciating the arts. Melissa began her musical journey at the age of 10 as a flutist. Passionate for music, she began taking private flute lessons at Rosie’s House in 2010.  As a student at Rosie’s House, she was inspired by Rosie’s House mission in providing free music education and accessibility for the arts.

Melissa holds Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Cultural Studies with an emphasis in Art History and a Minor in Arts and Cultural Management from Northern Arizona University. She has previously worked at the Flagstaff Arts Council, Musical Instrument Museum, and The Association of Midwest Museums. Melissa is excited to now be part of Rosie’s House staff and she is looking forward to making the arts more accessible for Black, Indigenous and People of Color, regardless of income.
