Providing an intensive foundation in musical fundamentals, the Core Choir Program is a foundational program at Rosie’s House with 150+ students enrolled. Students learn standard and advanced vocal techniques including pitch and breath control and perform a wide array of repertoire representing styles and time periods that embrace Renaissance music and Broadway show tunes. The Core Choir Program includes five choirs: Beginning Choir 1 (Ages 5-7), Beginning Choir 2 (Ages 8-11) Boy’s Bravo (Ages 12-14) Girl’s Harmony (ages 12-14) and Advanced Choir (ages 14-18). In addition, advanced vocal students participate in Vocal Lab classes and receive one-on-one vocal instruction. Age ranges are approximate and choir placement is determined by audition. Rosie’s House Core Choirs and soloists appear at events around the city, delighting audiences with their enthusiastic style and uplifting sound.
