Our Early Childhood Music Program nurtures a child’s natural musical curiosity during the vital early years of brain development. Designed for young learners and their caregivers, these six-week sessions introduce music through singing, movement and hands-on exploration in a joyful, engaging environment.

Classes meet once a week for 45 minutes and focus on building listening skills, coordination and early musical awareness.

Due to high interest, enrollment is determined by a lottery system. All families must attend a Family Interview to be eligible for admission.

This is a research-based class that uses music to support early learning and parent-child bonding.

Provided at Rosie’s House in Downtown Phoenix and at Child Crisis Arizona’s Center for Child & Family Wellness in Mesa.

Music Exploration

Ages 4–5

Young learners sing, dance and play instruments while developing music fundamentals and essential skills like coordination, memory and language.

Interactive Developmental Sessions

Children will participate in engaging, music-based activities designed to stimulate cognitive, social, and emotional development. Activities include singing, rhythm games, and movement, helping young children build a range of essential skills.

Holistic Family Support

This class is designed for both children and their families. Parents and caregivers attend alongside their children, fostering stronger family relationships and providing them with community resources to support long-term success.

Therapeutic Support

With curriculum designed by Higher Octave Healing, the class integrates music therapy principles to support the developmental needs of each child. Classes are planned and led by a Board-Certified Music Therapist, ensuring that the therapeutic approach is grounded in research-backed methods. Music therapy helps children achieve key developmental milestones, including communication, motor skills, and other essential school-readiness abilities. The primary focus of the Start with Music class is to cultivate skills that promote school readiness.

Why Music?

Music is a universal tool that fosters early cognitive, emotional, and social development. Through singing, rhythm, and movement, children strengthen important skills in communication, socialization, and pre-academic readiness. This class gives families the tools they need to engage with their children while building lasting bonds and supporting early growth.

What Is The Cost to Participate in the Class?

This class is completely free of charge. Participants qualify for Rosie’s House programs based on the *number of people in their household and income range.

Start With Music

Infancy–Age 3

Start With Music is a parent-child class designed for infants and toddlers up to age 3. In a fun and nurturing environment, families explore music through interactive songs, rhythmic play and movement games that support early brain development.

These classes help young children build important skills in communication, socialization and preschool readiness. Parent participation is required.

Classes run for six weeks, and families may apply for more than one session.

Program Requirements

Families must be able to commit to the full 6-week session.
One parent or caregiver must attend with the child.

Music Exploration

Ages 4–5

Music Exploration classes introduce children to music through singing, dancing and playing instruments. Designed for preschool-age students, the curriculum builds foundational music skills while also supporting growth in language development, pattern recognition, coordination and memory.

Classes run for six weeks, and families may apply for multiple sessions to continue their child’s musical journey.

Program Requirements

Families must be able to commit to the full 6-week session.
One parent or caregiver must attend with the child.
