At Rosie’s House, we believe that early childhood development is crucial for building a strong foundation for lifelong learning. The Start With Music Class is a four-week, research-based initiative designed for children ages 0–3. Hosted at both Rosie’s House in downtown Phoenix and the Child Crisis Center, Center for Child & Family Wellness, in Mesa, this class helps parents and caregivers connect with their young children through the power of music.
Start With Music will run from February 10 to March 6, 2025. Offering three class sessions across two locations, each class will accommodate 14 children (total of 42 children). These small classes ensure that each child receives individualized attention. Each child will receive a bag of instruments to use in class and keep.

Registration for our first session of classes was limited to families who submitted an Interested Family Form, families currently enrolled at Rosie’s House, or families affiliated with the Child Crisis Center and the Center for Child & Family Wellness.
Why Music?
Music is a universal tool that fosters early cognitive, emotional, and social development. Through singing, rhythm, and movement, children strengthen important skills in communication, socialization, and pre-academic readiness. This class gives families the tools they need to engage with their children while building lasting bonds and supporting early growth.
What is the cost to participate in the Start With Music Class?
This class is completely free of charge. Participants qualify for Rosie’s House programs based on the *number of people in their household and income range.
