Rachel Carranza is a theatre teacher in Arizona who has been serving students in grades 9–12 since 2022. Born and raised in Phoenix, Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in Theatre with a concentration in acting from Arizona State University. She began working with Mariachi music in 2015 during high school, founding Maryvale’s Mariachi Las Panteras de Oro and later helping to found Mariachi Los Osos del Valle at Phoenix College. Rachel focuses on creating a safe learning community that encourages academic risk-taking, individualized instruction, and student interaction through a theatrical lens. She also has experience teaching Orchestra, Mariachi, and private lessons.
