The maximum credit for the 2024 tax year is $470 for single filers and $938 for married couples filing jointly. Learn more about Tax Credits from the Arizona Department of Revenue here.
2. Do all donations to Rosie’s House qualify for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit?
Donations to Rosie’s House qualify for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit if you are not receiving goods or services in exchange. For example, purchasing a table at the Ovation Gala will not be eligible for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit.
3. How does the dollar-for-dollar tax credit work?
When you donate to Rosie’s House, you can claim the donation as a tax credit on your Arizona state tax return. This means donations up to $470 (for singles) or $938 (for married couples filing jointly) can receive that amount as a credit against your 2024 state taxes.
4. Can I receive the tax credit for cumulative donations throughout the year?
Yes, you can receive the tax credit for cumulative donations throughout the tax year. For example, if you make multiple donations totaling $470 (single) or $938 (married, filing jointly) by the end of the year, you can claim the full credit on your 2024 tax return.
5. Do recurring donations qualify for the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit?
Yes! For instance, donations of $39 per month or $78 per month will add up to $470 (single) or $938 (married, filing jointly) by the end of the year 2024, allowing you to claim the full credit on your taxes.
6. Do I have to give the maximum?
No! For example, if you’re only able to donate $100 to Rosie’s House this year, you can still claim that on your taxes and receive a credit for the $100. You could also choose to split your maximum between Rosie’s House and another qualified charity.
7. What is Rosie’s House’s QCO code?
Our QCO code is 20121. Arizona taxpayers must use this code on Form 321 and Form 352, which are included with the Arizona income tax return, to claim the tax credit for contributions.
