Rosie’s House is thrilled to present the Youth Mariachi Concert on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Herberger Theater Center. This special event will bring together talented young musicians from our own Rosie’s House Mariachi ensembles and Mariachi Panteras de Oro from Maryvale High School to celebrate the season with vibrant performances of beloved holiday classics and the rich musical traditions of Mexico.
The concert will feature a collaboration of these remarkable youth ensembles, offering audiences a unique opportunity to experience the passion and dedication that these students bring to mariachi music. With festive melodies and lively rhythms, this free concert is open to all ages and will highlight the joy of music during the holidays.
Don’t miss this beautiful showcase of local talent and cultural pride. Seating is limited, and RSVP is required. We hope to see you at the Herberger Theater Center to ring in the holiday season with the spirited sounds of mariachi!
About Mariachi Panteras de Oro
Founded in 2015, Mariachi Panteras de Oro from Maryvale High School, under the direction of Mike Dominguez—2023 recipient of the Chicanos por La Causa Esperanza Award—is the only Mariachi ensemble in the Phoenix Union High School District (PXU). A student-run, fully functioning mariachi group, Las Panteras has performed extensively throughout the community and the state of Arizona. The ensemble is particularly proud of its student-driven approach, with members having created the group’s name and logo themselves. Next year, Mariachi Panteras de Oro will celebrate its 10th anniversary of keeping mariachi traditions alive in the local community.
